Our Projects

Royah's Projects

Our Projects

Turning vision into structured, inclusive, and lasting community change.

At Royah CIC, our projects are not built as isolated activities — they are designed as pathways of support, responding to real, lived experiences across different stages of life.

We recognise that needs are not the same for everyone.
Women, young people, families, and older adults each navigate different pressures, transitions, and barriers.

Our work reflects this.

Each project is intentionally designed to:

  • Support wellbeing and confidence
  • Strengthen connection and belonging
  • Create opportunities for growth and progression
  • Remain accessible, culturally aware, and responsive

We do not deliver short-term engagement.
We create consistent, structured programmes that allow individuals to build trust, return over time, and grow in ways that feel sustainable.

Steps & Stories: Women’s Walking & Wellbeing

A structured, long-term programme supporting women to improve their physical health, emotional wellbeing, and social connection through gentle, accessible movement.

Sessions combine:

  • Guided group walks in safe, local environments
  • Light movement and stretching
  • Informal peer support and conversation
  • Reflective, low-pressure wellbeing moments

This programme is designed for women who may be inactive, isolated, or balancing multiple responsibilities — offering a space that feels calm, culturally sensitive, and manageable.

Impact focus:

  • Increasing physical activity in a sustainable way
  • Reducing isolation and creating routine
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience
  • Building confidence through consistent participation

Youth Confidence & Development Programmes

Targeted support for young people and emerging adults navigating identity, pressure, and transition.

These programmes provide safe, structured environments where young people can:

  • Build confidence and self-awareness
  • Develop communication and life skills
  • Explore creativity and expression
  • Access guidance without judgement

Delivery includes:

  • Small-group sessions and workshops
  • Creative and reflective activities
  • Peer-based discussions
  • Mentoring-style support

Impact focus:

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing during key life stages
  • Building confidence and sense of direction
  • Reducing disengagement and isolation
  • Creating positive, supportive peer environments

Creative Wellbeing & Expression

A series of structured workshops using creative, non-verbal methods to support emotional wellbeing across all age groups.

These sessions are particularly valuable for:

  • Individuals who struggle to express themselves verbally
  • Those experiencing stress, anxiety, or emotional fatigue
  • Participants who benefit from calm, reflective environments

Activities may include:

  • Art-based expression (collage, painting, texture work)
  • Repetitive, calming creative processes
  • Guided reflective sessions
  • Quiet, shared creative spaces

Impact focus:

  • Supporting emotional regulation
  • Providing safe outlets for expression
  • Reducing stress and mental overload
  • Encouraging presence and engagement

Community Connection & Social Spaces

Ongoing, informal gatherings designed to reduce isolation and strengthen a sense of belonging across all age groups — including adults and older individuals who may feel disconnected.

These sessions create space for:

  • Conversation and shared experience
  • Relationship-building over time
  • Light, inclusive activities
  • Intergenerational connection where appropriate

Impact focus:

  • Reducing loneliness and social isolation
  • Building trust and familiarity
  • Creating consistent, welcoming environments
  • Strengthening community cohesion

Movement & Active Wellbeing

Accessible, low-intensity physical activity programmes designed for a wide range of participants — including beginners, older adults, and those returning to activity after long periods.

Activities may include:

  • Walking groups
  • Light indoor sessions
  • Table-based activities (e.g. table tennis, gentle movement)
  • Adaptable group exercises

All sessions are designed with flexibility, comfort, and inclusion in mind.

Impact focus:

  • Improving physical health in an achievable way
  • Supporting mental wellbeing through movement
  • Encouraging routine and consistency
  • Building confidence in physical participation

Older Adults & Intergenerational Support

Programmes designed to support older members of the community, particularly those experiencing isolation, reduced mobility, or limited access to social spaces.

These projects may include:

  • Gentle wellbeing and social sessions
  • Creative and reflective activities
  • Light movement adapted to ability
  • Opportunities for intergenerational connection with younger participants

Impact focus:

  • Reducing isolation among older adults
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and routine
  • Creating meaningful connection across age groups
  • Valuing lived experience and community knowledge

Skills, Confidence & Personal Development

Structured support to help individuals build confidence, develop practical skills, and move towards greater independence.

Sessions may include:

  • Guided discussions and reflective exercises
  • Confidence-building activities
  • Informal mentoring and peer learning
  • Personal development workshops

This work supports individuals at different stages — whether re-engaging with community life, building direction, or developing new skills.

Impact focus:

  • Strengthening self-belief and confidence
  • Supporting personal progression
  • Building transferable life skills
  • Encouraging long-term engagement and growth

Future Projects

Our work continues to evolve in response to community voice and need.

We are developing future initiatives that will expand into:

  • Intergenerational programmes connecting youth and elders
  • Cultural heritage and storytelling projects
  • Expanded wellbeing programmes for men and wider groups
  • Skills, employability, and progression pathways

All future work will remain rooted in accessibility, inclusion, and long-term impact.

How Our Projects Create Impact

Every Royah project is designed not only to engage — but to sustain change.

We prioritise:

  • Consistency over one-off delivery
  • Depth over volume
  • Trust over quick outcomes

We measure impact through:

  • Increased confidence and participation
  • Stronger relationships and connection
  • Improved wellbeing
  • Continued engagement beyond initial sessions

At Royah, projects are not just delivered —
they are experienced, returned to, and built upon over time.

Supporting individuals at different stages of life,
in ways that feel natural, respectful, and lasting.

From vision, to structured pathways.
From pathways, to real progression.
From progression, to lasting impact.
